Spring Purge: Clothing

Happy Monday everyone!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I was out of town for a friend's wedding so today has been spent trying to catch up on stuff around the house. Luckily it did not take me too long to get everything done so I decided this week would be a great time to start on some Spring purging!

I started in my room by taking everything out of the closet.

I had some help from two little boys but you can barely see my helpers through the mound of clothing. LOL

As I started going through things, I decided that if I had not worn it recently or did not fit into it, it was being donated. I am trying to take a more simplistic approach to things because well, that's it, they are just things and there is no reason to hold onto it. I am bad about telling myself that I will probably use it "one day" or it holds "sentimental value" to me. It is time to let go of some stuff!!

So, here is my before and after:

This is everything I own, summer and winter. The bins at the top (which are made from Pampers boxes with fabric modpodged onto them) hold my seasonal clothes) and the bins in the cubical hold my PJ's, undergarments, workout clothes and shorts.

After doing my room, I went onto the kids...
(forgot a before picture but I could barely open her drawers)

(still have to pull out the boys summer shorts)

So, this is everything we got rid of:

It ended up filling up two trash bins and are piled into my car to take to Haven of Rest. So nice to get rid of some stuff that will hopefully benefit someone else. Onto my makeup table tomorrow!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday friends! Hope you all had a very blessed weekend! Ours was busy as usual so that means I will be spending my morning cleaning house. I have to tutor this afternoon and then plan on going to the gym, home to do the nightly routine...supper, clean, baths & bed. Wish we had more hours in the day! Anyway, on to our (long) weekend!

Trinity was out of school Friday so Thursday night she had her friend Emma-Faith over. I cooked dinner for my cousin and her boyfriend and she also brought over her adorable bulldog. The kids had a blast playing with him and of course now want one.

We also played Pie in the Face and we laughed so hard our stomachs hurt!

Friday morning, we went over to Emma-Faith's house for a playdate. My friend Rachael has three kids close to the same age as mine so they all get along really well. So well that we usually get to enjoy a game of Mexican train. :)

I won too!

Later that day we went out to dinner for my brother-in-law's birthday. Afterwards, I dropped Trinity off at Rachael's house because she was taking the girls to our church's lock-in. Trinity had such a good time and I went home to have some one-on-one with my boys.

The next morning I went to pick up my sweetpea and we headed home to get ready for the Michelin egg hunt. Two of my close friend's husbands also work there so we all went together.

Gabriel was terrified when the Michelin man greeted us but surprised me by having no fear to ride a horse. So proud! The kids got a bunch of eggs (which they are still enjoying here at home), we ate some yummy food, enjoyed the Ferris wheel and train and also got burnt! :( Well, the boys did not because they have more of an olive complexion and it didn't seem to touch them. trinity and I on the other hand were red and toasty but we have found that cold coconut oil is a nice relief.

Aren't my bunnies too cute?!?!?

Sunday we had church and then I ran a bunch of errands afterwards. The kids laid down for a nap when we got home so I got to work on my "plan with me" for the week. I uploaded it to my channel on YouTube so if you would like to watch, just click on the video below.

Well, I am off to get started on my chores for the day! Hope you all have a blessed one!

DIY Easter Decor

Happy Tuesday guys!
I have been gradually getting Easter decorations put out and like every year, I have to have something new. :) So, while at Hobby Lobby the other day, I grabbed these plain wooden eggs to make a craft with. It worked out great because they were on sale and came in a pack of three so I knew I wanted to make something with the kids. We usually make the bunny hand print each year so I thought it would look cute on these and I just used paint that I had on hand and let my imagination run wild on the rest.  I used cotton balls to make the clouds and I plain on taking the kids on a nature walk later today to grab some greenery to place in front of it.

I think they turned out so cute and they work perfectly next to our TV to help hid the wires. :)

.......................................................

Hope everyone has had a great start to the week! I was busy yesterday finishing up consignment sale stuff and spending time with my family. We have been loving the warm weather and spending a bunch of time outside.

Having fun building a fort with our kit from Discovery Kids too!

Also, tried a new recipe last night and it was delicious! Definitely recommend it!

5 on Friday

1...I am so happy it is Friday!
The hubs has worked 10 days out of the last 14. :( It wouldn't be as bad if it were not third shift and his shifts were 12 hours long! I do not know how he does it!  We are definitely looking forward to a weekend together before we both go back to work Monday. We are attending a marriage conference this weekend at our church so we are looking forward to some time to focus on us. They luckily will have childcare available and will provide us dinner the first night and lunch the next. Cannot wait to fellowship with friends and spend some extra time with my hubby!

2...T-Ball Sign up
We signed middle man up for t-ball this week. He was so excited about it but did get mad that when we went to sign up, he did not get to play right then. LOL We went shopping this morning for a glove, cleats, etc. I am not sure what color his team will be sporting so I thought we could just get everything black so it would match but Gabriel wanted everything blue since that is his favorite color right now. We only ended up purchasing his glove and I hoping to hear from his coach soon to find out the team colors so we can purchase the rest of his things. He is going to look so cute!!

3...Fuller House

Don't know if you all are as excited about this as I am!! I grew up watching Full House and I think I mainly liked it because one of the main characters had the same name as me...Michelle. :) Even though Michelle will not be in the spin-off, I am still looking forward to watching it. It comes out on Netflix next Friday in case you all were wondering.

4...These two
Since becoming a stay-at-home mom (I sub for the daycare when needed), these two have gotten so close. They play so good together and I see their bond getting stronger with each day. :) Now of course they have their moments where they fight but they get over it fast. They are boys and tend to wrestle a lot but it is so cute to watch Gabriel take on the roll of big brother and helping Asher out when needed. Asher looks up to his big brother so much and follows him around like his shadow. Love the love they have for each other!

5...Mama's girl
I could not leave this post without mentioning my sweet girl too!
She is normally always a Daddy's girl but when he is on third, she becomes all mine. :) I eat up it too!  I let her stay up a little later (shh...don't tell), she sleeps in the bed with me, and girly fun time is always the best! She is my little mini me and I love her to pieces!

Anyway, hope you all have a blessed weekend! I am hoping to get more into a routine of posting on here. I am subbing at the daycare all next week but hopefully I will get into a good routine starting the next week. Talk to you soon!

Plan With Me October 23-29

Hey guys! Hope you all are having a great Monday! I am just now getting my plan with me uploaded and wanted to share it with you guys! I am trying to get in the habit of recording and uploading videos now on my channel and will hopefully be incorporating more videos besides planner related ones. Now that I am a stay-at-home mom, it should be a little easier. So, hope you enjoy the video and hope to post tomorrow! Have a blessed day!

Sometimes..

Sometimes...
I wake up and think, how am i going to make it through the day???

Sometimes...
I think, how can I deal????

Sometimes....
I think, how am I going to do it???

Sometimes...
I wonder, why do I???

Well, the answer is...FAMILY.
These four right here are why I do it. Why I feel like everyday is a battle but it so worth it!

I love my husband and kids but some days are just HARD and exhausting!
But, in the end, seeing their smiles and making them happy makes the hard days worth it. They are worth it! I love them and if you are feeling like some days aren't worth it, just look at the ones around you and know that you are loved. I love you and GOD loves you! Just look to the heavens and know that one day peace will find you! Like here may be hard but God will bless you in SO many ways. I hope one day you will know this because I sure do!
 Love and happiness, Michelle

Organizing our games

Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! The hubs is outside doing yard work, the kids are napping and I thought I would write a post real quick...

RJ and I had date night last night (went to see No Escape and it was SOOO good) but I wanted the kids games to be organized before Nana came over because they always get into the "games stash." So after work, I sat down at the kitchen table and got to work organizing, trashing and sorting through all our games. Some were ditched because the kids never play with them and I used what I had on hand to organize them.

So, here is what I ended up with...

I organized the board game pieces into these cute little woven baskets I got from Hobby Lobby and luckily everything else fit perfectly into this wooden box I happened to find off a yard sale site for real cheap.
It ended up holding everything perfectly!

I took the sets of card games (canasta wouldn't fit) that we had and put them in this cube I also got at Hobby Lobby (50%off).
Of course my kid's games are not in their boxes anymore because they always seem to get torn up...wonder why??? LOL Life with three little ones right?!?!?

So, here is where everything ended up...
I like how everything is hidden but well within reach of our living room so we can play whenever ready! :)
